Arrest Made in Titusville Shooting Case

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville police arrested Barrington McKenzie, 27, of Titusville, who was charged with one count of Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon at the One Stop store at 443 South Park Avenue.

According to Titusville Police Sergeant Glen Hamann, a disturbance at the convenience store escalated into a fight. During the ensuing commotion, Brian Anderson, 24, of Titusville, was shot one time in the leg.

The investigation revealed that Barrington Lloyd McKenzie had shot Anderson. McKenzie was located and arrested less than four hours later. McKenzie was booked into the Brevard County Jail with no bond.

Anderson’s injuries are non-life threatening and he is being treated at a local hospital.

Details regarding the cause of the initial disturbance are still being investigated.
