BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Brevard County ‘s Special Olympics softball team won the gold medal at the 2014 USA Games in New Jersey.
Dozens of local supporters greeted the team at MClarty Park in Rockledge.
The team was a unified team, which combines volunteers with disabled athletes. Coach Tonya Snodgrass introduced the team to the public and explained how the team rallied for a 19-18 win to take home the gold medals.
