BRANDON BRADLEY SENTENCED TO DEATH

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Last April, the jury in the Brandon Bradley murder trial recommended the death sentence for the murder of Brevard County Deputy Barbara Pill.

This afternoon at the Moore Justice Center in Viera, Judge Morgan Reinman agreed with that recommendation and sentenced Bradley to death for the murder of Deputy Pill.

The 12-person jury convicted Bradley in only 90 minutes of the first-degree murder of Deputy Pill, who was killed in March 2012.

Deputy Pill was killed in the line of duty after conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle that was involved in a robbery.

Sheriff Wayne Ivey said, “We are pleased with today’s sentence. Barbara was an incredible deputy, mother, wife and friend and we will never forget her. Justice was rendered today and we hope that it is carried out swiftly. We pray that today actions will finally bring peace and closure to Barbara’s family.”
