FOX 13 Tampa Bay reported that a Florida man shot one of four armed home invaders when 911 accidentally transferred him to voicemail.

According to FOX 13, the dispatcher tried to transfer the call from the fire department to law enforcement, but the homeowner got a voicemail just as the four robbers with guns broke into his home demanding money and prescription drugs.

The four armed men initially broke into the home and began beating up the man, his wife and his stepmother.

The four men then left, giving the homeowner time to call 911, but as the dispatcher went to transfer the call from the fire department to law enforcement the caller was inadvertently went to voicemail.

At that point, the homeowner took matters into his own hands and shot one of the robbers, three of which have been caught, including the man who was shot by the homeowner.
