GAME 1: ARGENTINA VS. IRAN

 One of the favorites to win the World Cup, Argentina’s Lionel Messi got off to a sizzling start with a goal in Argentina’s opening-round win vs. Bosnia-Herzegovina. In addition to the world-known Messi, Argentina’s weapons include strikers Gonzalo Higuain and Sergio Aguero, along with midfielder Angel De Maria. Iran is led by captain Javad Nekounam, who has quickly established his place as the team’s talisman. Other key players include Masoud Shojaei. Reza Ghoochannejhad, who is an emerging young talent. Iran’s midfield is anchored by Ashkan Dejagah shores up the midfield alongside 

GAME 2: GERMANY VS. GHANA

Two of the quickest teams in the 2014 World Cup tournament collide in the opening match for Group G, as Germany  challenges Ghana. Germany opened the tournament with one of the most dominant offensive displays seen in the World Cup, thus far. The Germans are led by their midfield, which features Meut Ozul, Thomas Muller and Marco Reus, all of whom appear to be benefiting from the $40 million devoted to on-site training facilities and private hotel paid for by the German Football Association. Ghana needs a win vs. Germany to avoid elimination from the tournament. Mohammed Rabiu scored Ghana’s lone goal in a losing effort vs. the United States.

GAME 3: NIGERIA VS. BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA

Nigeria utilized new talent to win the 2013 edition of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations.Key members of the new era include John Obi Mikel. Goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama is an important veteran, while Victor Moses, Ahmed Musa and Emmanuel Emenike are key parts of Nigeria’s offense. Bosnia fell to Argentina in its first game. Players to watch on Bosnia include Edin Dzeko, Sejad Sallihovic and Vedad Ibesvic.
