SECTIONAL PLAY BEGINS JULY 19

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Junior baseball got back underway with a game that started Sunday at Holder Park and finished tonight at Canaveral Groves’ fields due to rain delays.

LITTLE-LEAGUE-REPORT-435-1After picking up in the 4th inning, Mims (visitor) battled Rockledge to an 8-1 win to claim the District 22 title.

With the win, Mims moves on to the Section 3 Tournament which will begin July 19, at Holder Park. 

MIMS WINS SENIORS DIVISION

In 9-10 Baseball at Cocoa Beach Fields, Merritt Island (visitor) claimed the championship title with a 25-0 win over Rockledge.
Merritt Island advanced to Sectional action in three divisions.

Also at Canaveral Groves’ fields, Senior baseball resumed a game that was halted Monday night due to lights and rained out Tuesday.

Picking up in the 6th inning, Mims (visitor) tied the game at 4, and then scored an unanswered run in the 7th to beat Merritt Island Seniors 5-4.  Mims’ win makes them the District 22 Champion, and they will advance to the Section 3 Tournament on July 19th at Deland.

• 9-10 SOFTBALL – Rockledge advances to Sectional

• 50/70 BASEBALL – MISLL advances to Sectional

• Junior BASEBALL – Mims advances to Sectional
• Junior SOFTBALL – Mims advances to Sectional

• Senior SOFTBALL – No D22 team
