The Manatees have partnered with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation and the City of Rockledge to raise awareness and funds for this important cause.

The “Pack the Park” event will feature a doubleheader between the Manatees and Clearwater Threshers, as well as a spectacular post-game fireworks show.

The event was originally scheduled for July 5 as a partnership between the Manatees and the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

When the game on July 5 was postponed due to rain, the City of Rockledge stepped up to help the cause.

Members of the Rockledge community have also been independently involved with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation since Julie Spurlock, a member of the central Brevard County community, was diagnosed with leukemia one year ago.

Since then, the “Rock For Julie” fundraising team was established to work with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation in order to help further their mission of raising awareness for childhood cancer and generating money for further research.

First pitch for the “Pack the Park” event on August 9 will be at 5:05 p.m. The gates at Space Coast Stadium will open at 4:00 p.m.

To purchase tickets, fans can log onto ManateesBaseball.com, call 321-633-9200 or visit the stadium box office, located below the main entrance of the stadium. You can also go online to ManateesBaseball.com, like the Manatees on Facebook and follow the Manatees both on Twitter and Instagram.
