District 22 All-Stars update

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – District 22 All-Stars play continued on Wednesday in four divisions, and concluding in three.

At Stradley Park, 9-10 Softball concluded when Rockledge (visitor) won 20-1 over Cocoa in 4 innings. For Rockledge, Emily Thomas had a double and an RBI.

Rockledge moves on to the Section 3 Tournament which will be held Saturday, July 12, at Cocoa Little League.

Also at Stradley, the 10-11 Baseball concluded when Merritt Island (visitor) defeated Cocoa LL 13-6. Merritt Island moves on to the Section 3 Tournament which will be held Saturday, July 12, at Rockledge Little League.

And at Jim Hensley Park, 11-12 Baseball concluded when Merritt Island (visitor) met Port St. John in the final. Port St. John won 4-0. For Port St. John, Chase LeBlanc went the distance on the mound pitching all 6 innings, allowing 1 hit while getting 15 strikeouts.

LITTLE-LEAGUE-ALL-STARS-180-12Merritt Island’s Bobby Pazos also pitched the entire game getting 9 strikeouts and allowing 4 hits. Port St. John moves on to the Section 3 Tournament on Saturday, July 19, at St. Augustine Little League.

Meanwhilke, At McKnight Park in Rockledge, the 11-12 Softball continued with Port St. John (visitor) and Mims battling to a 1 run finish as Port St. John outlasted Mims 11-10.

The match-up between Mims and Rockledge will decide who will move on to the Section 3 Tournament to represent District 22.

Merritt Island and Rockledge will play for in the 9-10 Baseball final at Cocoa Beach.
