VNA Space Coast Welcomes New President & CEO

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — The VNA Space Coast has announced that it has selected Mary Linn Hamilton, RN, MPH, as its new President and CEO.
“It is truly an honor to serve as the President and CEO of the VNA Space Coast,” said Hamilton.
Hamilton, who most recently served as President and CEO of the VNA of Rhode Island, brings extensive experience with home healthcare, hospice and palliative care, homemaker/companion services, and community wellness programming, all core services offered by the VNA of the Treasure Coast.
In addition, Hamilton’s leadership experience includes a thorough understanding of pediatric home care, home infusion services, and home medical equipment.
Hamilton earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Simmons College, in Boston, Massachusetts and a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina.
She also completed a Fellowship at the University of Chicago’s Center for Health Administration Studies and has completed Doctoral Program coursework in the Department of Health Policy and Management at Columbia University’s School of Public Health.
“We are so pleased that Mary Linn is joining us,” said Ann Marie McCrystal, Chairman of the Executive Search Committee tasked with identifying a new leader for the organization.
“Her experience shows that she truly has a VNA heart and understands our longstanding commitment to serve the healthcare needs of the community. It is wonderful to have her joining our team as we prepare to celebrate our 40th anniversary serving Indian River County.”
VNA Space Coast, Inc., a Medicare-certified home health agency providing home health aides; nurses; physical, speech, and occupational therapists; medical social workers; and in-home telemonitoring throughout Brevard County.
Ford Fegert, interim CEO and former VNA Board Chair agreed, saying, “Mary Linn is dedicated to the ideals of providing the highest-quality patient care and exceptional customer service, two values at the heart of the VNA. We are very pleased that she will be leading our organization and our exceptional team of caregivers.”
The VNA also provides community wellness services such as flu vaccinations, no-cost blood pressure/blood glucose screenings, and speakers on health-related topics for local community groups.
