FHP: DARTED OUT IN FRONT OF SEMI TRUCK

ORLANDO, FLORIDA – Andrew Buonanni, 27, of Merritt Island, was killed Saturday at 12:34 a.m. on Interstate 4 in Orlando, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Buonanni was parked on the westbound right shoulder of I-4 in his 2003 GMC Envoy, and Larry Davis of Punta Gorda driving a semi-truck, was traveling westbound on I-4, in the outside lane.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, for an unknown reason Buonanni opened up the driver side door and darted out in front of the semi-truck.

The driver of the truck was unable to avoid Buonanni, who was  a pedestrian at the time of impact.

This crash remains under investigation.
