Barnes & Noble ‘Sunday With the Symphony’ Fundraiser To Continue Through August 24

BREVARD COUNTY • WEST MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – For the seventh year in a row, Barnes & Noble hosted an in-store performance of a Brevard Symphony Orchestra ensemble as part of its annual symphony fundraiser.

Symphony-Sunday-580-2“Sunday with the Symphony” at the West Melbourne store, on August, 17, gave attendees a taste of what the symphony has to offer for its upcoming concert season.

As part of the event, Barnes & Noble donated 15 percent of sales that were made that afternoon from all customers who presented symphony vouchers, which were distributed before and during the performance at the store.

The fundraiser continues through Saturday, August 24, online at www.bn.com/bookfairs and at the West Melbourne store.

Simply provide voucher number 11405628 at checkout for the donation to be credited to the symphony. In-store cafe items count too.

The BSO performs at the King Center under the direction of Musical Director and Principal Conductor Christopher Confessore.

This year’s season comprises nine performances – six evening concerts and three matinees.

A free family concert is also scheduled on Sunday, September 21 at 12 noon. The featured work at this free event is Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, which will be narrated by a cast of local actors.
