Suzanah is set to perform at the 2014 Caribbean Fest in Cocoa Village on Sunday, Aug. 31, and the Disney Channel will be streaming this event live on their radio station. 

Musically talented since a child, Suzanah Free grew up singing, playing ukulele, guitar and piano.

Classically trained in piano, she attended college as a music composition major with piano as her major instrument and voice as her secondary instrument.

Suzanah worked professionally in a recording studio in Washington D.C. and sang back up on many recordings, and provided numerous recording assistance to musicians and songwriters.

She has sung in church and school choral groups all her life, and is currently singing professionally both in public and private events.

She has opened for major acts such as KC and the Sunshine Band, Bad Company, Mark Chestnut and Charlie Daniels, as Sister Blues with the Reverand Danny Blues. Other specialty shows she has performed at include the “Night Fright Spooktacular” show as the sultry Delvira.

NOTED SOLO ARTIST

Suzanah performs both as a solo artist on piano and singing jazz and standards, as well as soft pop/rock, and with her husband Dan Ellis of Kokopeli Music, has staged numerous theme party events, including luaus, casino nights, big band show and more.

She was the lead singer in 2007 for the Melbourne Municipal Band “Swingtime”, has sang for the “Eau Gallie Rag Time Band,” has had her own jazz band SRAZZ and also performs her military tribute songs “Heroes Fight for Peace” and Candle In The Window at events, such as the Vietnam Wall Event, Space Coast Stadium 10th year anniversary of 911, and other military events.

Suzanah has performed at many local special events, including Mardi Gras, Space Coast Fair, Isle of Ween and Oktoberfest.

Aside from play at local restaurants and night clubs, as an accomplished composer and songwriter, she is busy working on her next CD, featuring more of her original songs.
