To celebrate his remaining strength and years, 90-year-old, Ernie Andrus set off to run across the country. Andrus is running five to eight miles a day, three days a week.

Andrus is trying to raise money for the transport of LST 325, the World War II- era tank landing ship is thought to be the last of thousands that were built during the war.

Andrus hopes to raise enough money to return the ship to it’s rightful home at the D-Day Memorial in France.

During his journey, he has maintained an active social media presence, often inviting fans to join him for runs, or looking for a ride back to his RV.
