After a close second place finish last Monday at the Deutsche Bank Championship, where Horschel had a 6-iron in hand on the 18th fairway for a chance to win or force extra holes, he miss-hit his shot into the brush.

However, today Horschel, the young Brevardian, rallied and played brilliantly, to win the coveted BMW Championship. He is now second in the Fed Ex Points Championship going into next week’s tournament.

The leaderboard: Billy Horschel (-14); Bubba Watson (-12); Morgan Hoffmann (-11); Ryan PalmerSergio Garcia Rickie Fowler and Jim Furyk at -9.
