Cocoa Beach Completes Phase I of 200 Channel Dredging

Phase II of the project ready to begin

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – The City of Cocoa Beach has completed Phase I of the dredging of the 200 Channel and is moving into Phase II.

The City of Cocoa Beach has completed Phase I of the dredging of the 200 Channel and is moving into Phase II.

Phase II of the project is the construction of a dredge spoil site on a designated North Thousand Island.

The island chosen is at the end of Cocoa Isles Boulevard. The construction company, TSI Disaster Recovery, has the authority to be on the island with equipment and all permits are in order for the preparation of the spoil site.

The island is now considered a “Construction Site,” therefore any unauthorized person will be prosecuted for trespassing, and if vandalism occurs, arrested.
