Below is a statement from Congressman Bill Posey regarding ISIS’ recent executions of Steven Sotloff and James Foley.
POSEY-BILL-180-34

“My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Steven Sotloff and James Foley who were brutally murdered by Islamic militants trying to seize power in the Middle East.  Ultimately, whatever course of action our nation takes we must have a clear strategy and an end-goal in sight.  That is very much lacking at present, and it increases the risks for Americans both abroad and at home.”

“This is also a clear warning to us that Islamic militants have no regard for life or boundaries. It’s also a stark reminder of the vulnerabilities that exist as long as our government refuses to secure our borders as required by law. Thirteen years after 9-11, and with a rising threat of terrorism, the unfortunate reality is that we still lack operational control over our borders and ports of entry. It’s long past time that we secure our nation’s borders.”
