Eastern Florida Faculty Art Exhibit Scheduled

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Students and community members will have a chance to see a diverse selection of artwork created by Eastern Florida State College faculty members during an exhibit at the King Center for the Performing Arts Harris Corporation Lobby Gallery beginning October 6 and running through November 3.

The EFSC Faculty Art Exhibit will be open to the public on October 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

It will also be available for viewing during King Center performances to ticketed patrons and students who visit the gallery with their EFSC classes.

Sculptures using ceramics, paper and fibers, as well as paintings, drawings, photography, and digital media will be on display.

Exhibiting artists include Robert Canger, Georgi Gelalles, Bobbie McMillan, Dustin Robertson, Lynn Spencer and Joanna White from the Melbourne campus, and Marilyn Cook from the Cocoa Campus.

EFSC-LOGO-180“We have a great group of faculty who are also dedicated professional artists,” said Joanna White, Program Coordinator for the Art Department on the Melbourne campus.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for us to share with our students and with the community the personal artwork we have created.

The exhibiting faculty teach courses in the fields of Humanities, Graphics Technology, Photography and Studio Art.
