BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – With the race for Florida Governor in a dead heat, incumbent Florida Gov. Rick Scott pulled out the national and local Republican political heavy artillery as his “Get Out the Early Vote” bus tour made a stop on the Space Coast at the Brevard Zoo on Monday.
Joining Scott at the zoo were New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, U.S. Rep. Bill Posey, Florida CEO Jeff Atwater, Florida Sen. Thad Altman, 18th Judicial Circuit Public Defender Blaise Trettis, Rep. Tom Goodson, Rep. Ritch Workman, and Scott’s wife, Ann.
An enthusiastic crowd of more than 200 heard Christie suggest a title voters could give to Scott’s opponent Charlie Crist – “loser.”
Scott and Christie have been on a bus tour, traveling all across Florida in front of next Tuesday’s General Elections.
