Titusville Police Seek Burglary Suspect

ABOVE VIDEO: Surveillance footage of a man suspected of burglarizing Ice House Food Mart at 701 South Park Ave in Titusville. The suspect of this burglary attempt is also suspected of burglarizing the Chester’s Gold business located at 1141 South Hopkins Ave. in Titusville as well as the City of Titusville Public Library located at 2121 South Hopkins Ave.

do-you-know-this-man-435 (1)TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA — Titusville Police Department is searching for a man suspected of burglarizing Ice House Food Mart at 701 South Park Ave on Tuesday.

According to Titusville Police Detective Jeff Hector, TPD received a call in reference to a business alarm activation at the Ice House Food Mart located at 701 South Park Ave.

When responding Officers arrived on scene, a search for the suspect(s) was initiated upon their discovery of shattered glass on one of the front doors to the business which was closed for the night. The glass remained intact so the suspect(s) did not gain entry.

Shortly after officers arrived, a key holder also responded to the business and assisted the Officers in reviewing the video surveillance recording. The suspect captured on the video surveillance appeared to be a white male in his late 30’s or early 40’s, with a stocky build, dressed in a black t-shirt with  striped black and white shorts, a black ball cap and black sandals.

According to Hectorhis attempted “Smash and Grab” burglary followed several burglaries in the city of Titusville wherein the suspect(s) shattered a window in order to gain entry to a closed business.
