Concerned Son Seeks Advice For Diabetic Mom

Dear Dr. Pinsky,

My mom has been a diabetic for the last 20 years, and despite being on multiple therapies, her sugar is not controlled.

She tries to eat right and exercise, but this doesn’t seem to help. To make matters worse, she has developed complications. Her kidney function has declined significantly and she has developed tingling in her hands and feet.

Are there any new treatments available that might help my mom?

Thanks for your help,
A Concerned Son

Dear Concerned Son,

Im sorry to hear that your mom is having such serious health issues. As a matter of fact, there is a treatment that will soon be available in Brevard County that was discovered 25 years ago that has FDA approval and is accepted by most major insurance plans.

The treatment is based on a four hour infusion that is designed to stimulate carbohydrate metabolism. If this sounds like something that you might want to learn more about you can attend a lecture I’m giving on this topic on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. at One Senior Place in Viera.

Please call 321-255-2289 to reserve your place. Look forward to seeing you there.

Wishing You Good Health,
Dr. Mark Pinsky
