BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Following extraordinary efforts against Shorter this past Saturday, redshirt sophomore placekicker Alex Brack, wide receiver Xavier Milton and linebacker J.J. Sanders have all been selected as Florida Tech’s Panther Student-Athletes of the Week.

Brack proved to be the difference in the Panthers’ last-second 34-30 victory over the Hawks. In windy conditions, he converted a career-high four extra points in as many attempts to help Florida Tech remain in the playoff picture. He passed away Sunday evening in a car accident.

A native of Alameda, California, Milton corralled a team-high 10 catches for 168 yards and three touchdowns, none bigger than his 41-yard score as time expired.

Milton was named Gulf South Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

On the season, he has accumulated 66 receptions for 986 yards and nine touchdowns, all conference-highs.

A transfer from Kent State, Sanders racked up 15 total tackles, including three for a loss, and one sack on Saturday afternoon.

The impressive performance was his third contest of 2014 in which he registered double-digit tackles.

In addition to Milton, Sanders took home GSC Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time in his redshirt junior season. With two weeks remaining, Sanders has now taken over as the GSC leader in tackles for loss with 14.5.

The Panthers make a return visit to Georgia this Saturday for yet another GSC test. This time, Florida Tech will square off with West Georgia at 2 p.m. in a pivotal matchup. The game will be carried live on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.
