Brevard Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 33-year-old Timothy Jay Allenson of Cocoa within 30 minutes of an Armed Robbery at about 12 noon on Thursday.

Deputies responded to the Armed Robbery call at the Sunshine Food Mart on North Highway 1 and Canaveral Groves Boulevard.

Upon arrival, the clerk told Deputies that a suspect had displayed a knife and demanded money. The clerk then gave the armed suspect money from the register and observed the suspect as he left in a white van.

Deputies spotted the van and suspect shortly after leaving the scene. The suspect was identified as Allenson who was arrested without incident.

Allenson was also identified as the suspect who attempted the Robbery of a female while she was at an ATM at the Bank of America in Titusville at 3975 Kings Highway, which occurred shortly before the convenience store robbery. This victim refused to comply with the suspect’s demands, who then fled in a white van.

CRIMELINE-580-2Allenson was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery, Grand Theft and Attempted Robbery. He was transported to the Brevard County Jail Complex under a No bond status.
