Camargo, Doyle, McReynolds Share Eastern Florida Honors

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Women’s soccer player Abbie Camargo, women’s basketball player Jessica Doyle and men’s basketball player Demetrius McReynolds are the Eastern Florida State College Student-Athletes of the week for the week ending Nov. 9.

Camargo, a freshman midfielder from Ocala, Florida and Trinity Catholic High, scored three goals as EFSC advanced to the NJCAA Women’s Division I National Championship Tournament with a 4-0 victory over Pearl River Community College.

Camargo has 10 goals and a school-record 15 assists this season.

Doyle, a sophomore guard from Palm Bay, Florida and Heritage High, was high scorer with 19 points as EFSC upset Hillsborough Community College 76-53.

Her points included a long-range three-pointer at the first half buzzer that gave EFSC a 35-32 lead.

McReynolds, a sophomore guard from Louisville, Kentucky and Butler High was high scorer in both men’s basketball games last week.

He scored 21 and 31 points respectively as EFSC upset Chipola College 89-83 and lost to Northwest Florida 89-81.
