BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – A pedestrian was struck and critically injured on Tuesday at about 6:55 p.m. by a 2004 Ford Mustang that was traveling eastbound on School Street in Cocoa, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The Mustang struck the pedestrian and then continued eastbound, leaving the scene without stopping and was later found abandoned on Bay Street.

FHP Troopers are looking to talk to the owner of the Mustang, 22-year old Taylor Michael Edwards, who is a person of interest, according to FHP.

This crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
