Florida Tech concluded its fall season on Saturday by competing in the collegiate eights and fours at the Stetson Fall Rowing Rendezvous on Lake Beresford.

The eights, led by an FIT ‘A’ crew of coxswain Sam McCuskey, stroke Jordan Ursch, Michaela Allen, Anastasia Stodolski, Abbie Stehno,Samantha Martinez, Jessica Weatherman,Alexandra Coultrup and bow Taylor Troy, had the third-fastest time in their event at 19:21.00.

A ‘B’ crew of coxswain Kayleigh Painter, strokeJessica Bunting, Suzanne Beims, Molly Kingston, Kayla Magee, Savannah Blitch,Allison Coleman, Alexis Goodie and bow Tania Kilcullen had the 10th-fastest time at 21:21.00.

Barry ‘A’ won the head race with a time of 18:13.00. Jacksonville ‘A’ finished second at 18:37.00.

In the fours, two FIT crews had the fifth and sixth-fastest times at 21:05.00 and 21:08.00. Racing in the ‘B’ boat, which finished the course three seconds quicker, were Allen at stroke seat, Martinez, Bunting, Beims at bow and Painter as coxswain. The ‘A’ crew was Ursch at stroke, Troy, Stodolski, Stehno at bow and McCuskey at coxswain.

A third FIT boat ‘C’ had the 11th-best time out of 17 crews at 22:52.00. Racing in that shell were Coultrup at stroke, Weatherman, Kilcullen, Kingston at bow and Brigitte Bonaci at coxswain. Two boats from Barry had the top two finishes at 20:27.00 and 20:35.00, respectively.

The Panthers will now prepare for the spring, which will begin with practice in early 2015.
