BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Leaders on this season’s Florida Tech women’s soccer team, midfielders Eva Banton and Courtney Hueston were both recognized as 2014 Daktronics All-South Region Second Team selections, announced Tuesday.

As a senior, Hueston led the Panthers in every major offensive category in 2014 with seven goals, three assists and 17 total points. After more than doubling her goal production from a year ago, she finished 11th in the Sunshine State Conference in that category.

The all-south region accolade comes just three weeks after Hueston was also placed on the All-SSC squad.

A Viera High School grad, Banton proved to be a versatile asset on the Panthers’ team. She started all 15 matches she appeared in and was second on the team with four goals, including two game-winners.

In back-to-back conference matches against both Lynn and Florida Southern, Banton notched two goals apiece. Her lone assist produced the game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Palm Beach Atlantic on Senior Day.
