Jason Sisneros To Address Eastern Florida Banquet

WOMEN’S SOCCER – University of North Carolina women’s assistant soccer coach Jason Sisneros will be the keynote speaker for the NJCAA Division I Women’s National Championship pre-tournament banquet on Nov. 16.

The tournament will be played Nov. 17-22 on Eastern Florida State College’s Melbourne Campus.

The banquet will be held beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16 at the Maxwell C. King Center for the Performing Arts on the Melbourne Campus. The admission charge for the banquet for family and/or friends of the teams is $15 per person and preregistration in required.

Sisneros was promoted to the position of full-time assistant coach with the Tar Heel women’s soccer program in January 2014. He also serves as UNC’s director of match analysis.

He played a key role in helping the Tar Heels achieve the 2012 national championship, directing match analysis operations, which he then revamped for last year’s team. He was heavily involved in the team’s possession platform and its progression of team player development.

A native of Tacoma, Wash., Sisneros has been coaching soccer for 17 years on the youth level and eight years for high school teams. He has coached teams to WIAA Washington State high school championships as well as youth state and regional titles.

Sisneros played college soccer for the University of Puget Sound where he earned his degree in sociology. His team there won two Northwest Conference titles in his three seasons as a player.

He played on a UPS squad which set the school record for wins in a season with 20 and achieved the program’s best regional and national rankings.

After graduation he began his coaching career while also playing for the Washington State U23 ODP Team, PASL Indoor Soccer Tacoma Stars and South Sound FC.

Sisneros works on a national staff of collegiate coaches with Exact Sports and coaches thousands of youth and high school players every year.

Jason and his wife Lindsay have a daughter Kendall and a son Jonah.
