BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Beach Public Library will host up-and-coming historical author Kate Breslin at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17.

Breslin’s debut novel “For Such A Time” finds a balance between historical and inspirational fiction that readers love and bestselling authors are raving about.

Breslin writes the captivating story of a young Jewish woman who escapes death in 1944 only to be pressed into service for the Nazis.

Using an assumed identity and working as a secretary to a German colonel, she risks her own fate to help the prisoners being transported to concentration camps.

Kate Breslin’s debut novel “For Such A Time” finds a balance between historical and inspirational fiction that readers love and bestselling authors are raving about.

She finds an unlikely ally and reserves of strength she never knew she had, but when her heritage is revealed she must find a way forward with only her faith and her fortitude to rely upon.

Bestselling author Debbie Macomber says this story of conflicting faiths and loyalties in World War II Europe is “gripping, compelling, and I dare anyone to close the cover before the last suspenseful page.”

Bestseller Susan Wiggs calls “For Such a Time” “an intimate portrait painted on grand scale, bringing to life the drama and pain of suffering with the triumph and joy of freedom.”

Bestselling novelist Sheila Roberts says the novel is “an engrossing and inspiring story from a talented new writer.”

Breslin will be in the library to discuss “For Such A Time” as well as her upcoming novel, another wartime exploration of faith and heritage to be published in 2015.
