men’s swimming rankings jump 11 places to No. 8

Following a week of competition that saw a myriad of school-records broken, Florida Tech men’s swimming has risen 11 places to No. 8 in the latest CollegeSwimming.com Division II rankings. Additionally, the Panther women are ranked for the first time this season, coming in at No. 14.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Following a week of competition that saw a myriad of school-records broken, Florida Tech men’s swimming has risen 11 places to No. 8 in the latest CollegeSwimming.com Division II rankings.

Additionally, the Panther women are ranked for the first time this season, coming in at No. 14.

The Florida Tech men are one of five Sunshine State Conference schools to make the top-25. Nova Southeastern is slated fourth, while the 11th and 15th spots are claimed by Florida Southern and Tampa, respectively. Saint Leo rounds out the other SSC member schools with an 18th-place ranking.

On the women’s side, the SSC is represented by four schools in the top-25, including the Panthers. Nova Southeastern holds the top ranking in the conference at No. 9, while Florida Southern is close behind at No. 11. The Spartans of Tampa are the lowest ranked team in the conference, maintaining a 15th-place ranking.

Florida Tech swimming will head to Tampa for a battle with the Spartans on Friday, Nov. 21. That meet is slotted to begin at 4 p.m.
