The Melbourne Police Department responded on Friday at about 7 p.m. to a bicyclist who was struck by a vehicle.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA –  The Melbourne Police Department responded to a bicyclist who was struck by a vehicle on Friday at about 7 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found a subject in the area of North Harbor City Boulevard and Thomas Barbour Drive. (See map below)

The vehicle and driver were also on scene.

According to the Melbourne police, the bicyclist was struck while attempting to cross the road and is currently in critical condition at Holmes Regional Medical Center.

This crash is still under investigation and the Melbourne police request that anyone with information to call 321-608-6371 or contact Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).
