BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – JT’s Bluegrass will present the 2015 Titusville Bluegrass Festival on Monday, January 12 from 6 – 10 p.m.
Three bands and six shows will feature Nashville’s five-time Male Vocalist of the Year, Larry Stephenson, along with Monroe Crossing from Minnesota, inductees in the Minnesota Country Music Hall of Fame. Homespun is Central Florida bluegrass promoter J.T. Shealy’s own band, and a local favorite.
Each group will perform twice during the evening festival at Temple Baptist Church, 1400 N. Washington Avenue in Titusville, 32796. Stephenson, a frequent performer on the Grand Ole Opry has won “Songwriter of the Year” and “Mandolin Player of the Year” in addition to his five wins for vocals.
Early reservations will guarantee a seat on the main floor and all proceeds after expenses will benefit Temple Christian School. Seats may be reserved for $26 online at JTsBluegrass.com or by calling 321-222-7797.
Last year’s successful event for Temple Christian School in Titusville has bluegrass promoter, J.T. Shealy hopeful for a repeat performance. He also knows bluegrass fans will appreciate seeing three bands for the price of one during his Titusville Bluegrass Festival, part of the Brevard 2014-15 season of JT’s Bluegrass.
“This lineup is readymade for Brevard bluegrass fans, starting with headliner Larry Stephenson, a five-time winner from the SPBGMA” (Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America), said Shealy. “Monroe Crossing is classic bluegrass and gospel and my own band Homespun has a loyal following here in Central Florida. It’s going to be a great night of music for a great cause.”
J.T’s Bluegrass has been bringing bluegrass performers to Brevard since 2007. Eight of the top 15 acts of 2013 named by Bluegrass Unlimited magazine have performed in Titusville for Shealy’s audiences.
