BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida’s men’s soccer team landed its second NJCAA Division I first-team All-America on Tuesday with the selection of sophomore Kyle Carr.

Carr, of Indialantic, Florida, was a member of Eastern Florida’s back line which also placed sophomore and 2013 first-team All America Ivan Magalhaes on this year’s second team.

Eastern Florida, in its second year as a program, finished the season at 13-3-1. The Titans earned their second straight postseason bid, losing in the district final, one game away from the national tournament, which they reached in 2013.

The Titans scored 70 goals this past season while allowing only 17. They allowed two goals twice and one goal once.

Carr notched three assists for the season while Magalhaes scored six goals and recorded two assists.

Carr graduated from Melbourne High and transferred to EFSC from Taylor University in Upland, Indiana.

Magalhaes, a native of Sao Paolo, Brazil, played two seasons for EFSC.

“Kyle Carr played every bit of every game and was a leader on and off the field,” said EFSC head coach Oliver Twelvetrees.

“The award is well deserved. Kyle has a big future moving forward.

“I’m proud of Ivan being a two-time All-America. A phenomenal achievement from an excellent student-athlete.”
