BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Tech men’s cross country runnerJustin McMaster will race Saturday for the final time in a Panther uniform as the graduate student studying space systems will face one of the most talented fields of his career at the NCAA Division II Championship in Louisville, Kentucky.

McMaster qualified for the national meet after placing sixth and earning an all-region designation at the NCAA Division II South Region Championship on Nov. 26 in New Market, Alabama. The Horseheads, New York native completed the 10K course in 32:51.79.

The championship meet will be held at Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, with Bellarmine University serving as host. The men’s 10K race is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.

McMaster last participated in the NCAA Championship two years ago, in 2012, when the Panthers qualified as a team for the first time in program history. He finished with a time of 33:10.3, earning the 218th spot.
