Cocoa Police Investigate Saturday Night Blast

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA –  An investigation continues into what caused a blast on Saturday night around 10 p.m. outside an apartment complex located at 7 Oak Street in Cocoa, according to Officer Barbara Matthews of the Cocoa Police Department.

Residents called the police after hearing the blast, which happened outside unit 102.

Some glass was shattered but no injuries were reported, according to Officer Matthews.

The Brevard County Sheriff’s bomb squad responded to assist in the investigation which is on-going.
