BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Earlier this week, the members of our Field Training Officers Team met for their Quarterly Meeting at our West Precinct.

This elite group of Deputies are responsible for conducting the training for all new Deputies that join the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and for making sure that each new member is fully prepared to take on the role of Deputy Sheriff in our agency.

The Field Training Program consists of a 10-12 week, 4 phase program that follows the 720 hour Law Enforcement Academy and focuses on all aspects of training including report writing, tactical techniques, arrest procedures, and application of laws.

Please join me in thanking the members of this team that work hard every day to make sure that our Deputy Sheriffs are among the most professional and well prepared in the country.
