Gerald “Jerry” S. Grigsby Passes Away Jan. 21

OBITUARY

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Gerald “Jerry” S. Grigsby, 86, of Rockledge, passed away on Jan. 21, 2015.

He was born on April 15, 1928 in Uniontown, PA to Danial and Mary Grigsby. Jerry served his country honorably during Word War II, the Korean War and Vietnam in the U.S. Army and retired with the rank of CWO3.

He then took a position as the Chief of Police in Mulberry, Florida, retiring in 1974 where he started his Civil Service Career teaching for the Army.

He is survived by his wife; Sung, children; Danny, Vicki Joyce, Gary, Tony, Barry all of Lynchburg, VA, and Mary Grigsby of Melbourne, FL, 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Mon. Jan. 26, 2015 at Beach Funeral Homes – West, 4999 N. Wickham Road in Melbourne with a ceremony to begin at 5:30 p.m.

Jerry will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors at a later date.
