BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne Police Department conducted a prostitution investigation Tuesday night at about 9 p.m. which led to the arrests of six women who were charged with Solicitation for Prostitution.

According to the Melbourne Police Department, a number of citizen complaints were received in regard to ongoing prostitution within the City of Melbourne.

The Special Investigations Unit and Officers, along with several other units within the department, combined to conduct the prostitution detail along the US 1 corridor from University Boulevard to Post Road.

According to police, as part of its continuing goal, the Melbourne Police Department has made it a goal of contacting, identifying and apprehending people who advertise, patronize and promote prostitution.

Suspects charged with Solicitation for Prostitution include Pamela Brown, 34; Latanya Brown, 30; Amber Kraus, 25; Jill Smith, 34; Beverlee Stanley, 47; and Kelly Walsh, 30.

All of the arrested suspects were handed over to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.
