BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Although focused on the present with the start of the regular season just weeks away, Florida Tech head baseball coach Greg Berkemeier is smiling about the future of the program after receiving five early commits from a group of prized prospects.

The Crimson and Gray are optimistic heading into 2015 coming off a 25-22 season a year ago, but the current roster features seven seniors and turnover is imminent.

“I believe this group we have coming in will make us better, especially on the mound,” said Florida Tech head baseball coach Greg Berkemeier.

The early signing class features four pitchers and an outfielder, with two hailing from within the state of Florida.

“I feel very good about this recruiting class,” said Florida Tech head baseball coach Greg Berkemeier.

“These five help address a number of the needs we’ll be having at the end of this year with the graduation of guys who have performed well for us over the last few years and have been very important parts of our program.
