Panthers Look to End a Two-Game Skid Against Palm Beach

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Tech (9-3) returns to the Clemente Center on Tuesday for a non-conference match-up against Palm Beach Atlantic (5-5) at 7:30 p.m.
The Panthers are looking to put an end to a two-game winless streak that has included losses to Claflin, 85-66, and Saint Leo, 69-64.
In their most recent defeat at Saint Leo on Saturday, Jordan Majors tied his career-high of 19 points and Corbin Jackson tore down a game-high 15 rebounds.
Saint Leo used a 14-2 run to take the lead and it never trailed again the rest of the way.
Jermaine Jackson, held to seven points against the Lions, is still leading the team in scoring at 15.6 points per game.
Corbin Jackson is right behind him at 14.1 points per game and he is averaging just under 10 rebounds per game at 9.4. Jackson enters the week leading all of NCAA Division II with 3.75 blocks per game and he is second in the country at 45 total blocks.
The Sailfish are in the midst of a five-game losing streak since they last won on Dec. 3 against Flagler, 70-67.
In their most recent loss, an 89-61 defeat to Rollins on Saturday, Palm Beach Atlantic scored just 25 first-half points. Dakota Zinser came off the bench to score a game-high 17 points and starter Garet Tucker supplied 15 points.
Evan Graham is one of three Sailfish averaging double figures at a team-high 14.1 points per game. Ronnell Ross is second at 13.4 and Tucker is third at 11.2. Ross is the team’s leading rebounder, pulling down 8.2 boards per game.
