This fundraising event is part of the year-round support for the Special Olympics Florida.

BCSO-STAR-180These events host Law Enforcement personnel throughout the state of Florida volunteering their time as “celebrity waiters” in restaurants across the state to raise funds for the Special Olympics through the tips they raise.

Tip-a-Cop events help support The Florida Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics which is the largest annual law enforcement fund-raising event for Special Olympics Florida.

The participating deputies and officers from virtually every branch of federal, state, county and municipal law enforcement will represent a total of over 300 different agencies banding together for such an incredible cause.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics is where Law Enforcement personnel carry the ‘Flame of Hope’ across Florida in an intrastate relay of simultaneous routes, covering countless thousands of miles.

The torch is carried by law enforcement officers and citizens all the way to the Opening Ceremonies of Florida’s annual State Summer Games.
