BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office asked our citizens on Facebook this week to help us locate William Hasencamp who was wanted in connection with numerous burglaries, one of which also involved a cruelty to animals case where a small dog was injured by the suspects.

At approximately 5:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Hasecamp entered the Beach Pawn Shop in Cape Canaveral in an effort to pawn jewelry.

The store employees recognized Hasencamp from a news release photo and from a post on the Sheriff’s Office FaceBook Page.

The employees subdued Hasencamp until Deputies could arrive and take him into custody. Hasencamp was subsequently transported to the Brevard County Jail and is being held on a No Bond status.

This arrest is another perfect example of citizens and Law Enforcement working together to get dangerous criminals off our streets.

I would like to personally thank the employees of the Beach Pawn Shop and also Agent Aimee Slater who did an incredible job on identifying the suspects in this case.
