'Big Sky' Begins production in a few months

Local Brevard County actors have been cast for an upcoming western television series being shot this summer in California.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Local Brevard County actors have been cast for an upcoming western television series being shot this summer in California.

Those that have been signed up in support or principal roles include Jordan Forte, Orrick Blaze, Roy Lewis Garton, and Jackson Geach.

“Big Sky” Begins production in just a few months and is being promoted as bringing back the family westerns that we once all knew and loved.

“I’m just so excited to be a part of this project and look forward to being on set with the great cast and crew that is all part of “Big Sky” said Garton.

In fact, portions of the series will be shot on the same properties- that Bonanza and Little House were filmed.

Other Central Florida talent also have been cast for the upcoming western television series.

From the Orlando area, talent includes Kevin ONeill, Kenneth VanValkenberg, and Cindy Long – who is not only a Native American actress – but also has been brought on as producer.

Filled with drama, humor, and thrilling plot lines, “Big Sky” will bring back family entertainment in the style of Bonanza, Little House, and the Virginian.

According to Big Sky’s web site, the series will be addressing the American Frontier’s realities of slavery, bigotry, and greed, as well as forgiveness, hope, and the pursuit of dreams we all saw in the pioneer spirit of the time.
