Erin Egoroff Named SSC Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week

Egoroff registered four total wins on FIT’s opening day
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Tech freshman Erin Egoroff has been selected as the Sunshine State Conference Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week, announced Monday.
Egoroff registered four total wins on FIT’s opening day Saturday against Florida State College at Jacksonville and Centre College (Ky.), two in singles and two in doubles.
The freshman teamed up with Natasa Vukovic in doubles to take down FSCJ’s Olivia Rolle and Michelle Chemaly 8-3 and then defeated Thais Castiglioni in singles play 6-0, 6-3.
Egoroff was equally dominant against Centre later in the day. She and Vukovic rolled over Centre’s No. 1 doubles team of Kate Tomey and Molly McElvogue 8-0.
The Peach State native concluded the day by outpacing McElvogue in singles competition 6-0, 6-1.
The Panthers continue the start to their spring season on Feb. 7 by taking on Palm Beach Atlantic at DeSoto Park in Satellite Beach. That match is slated for a 1:30 p.m. ET start.
