BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Tech’s Corbin Jackson is up for Bennett Rank’s D2 Men’s College Basketball Stud of the Week award for his two outstanding performances last week.

The Rockledge, Florida product registered two double-doubles in a pair of Sunshine State Conference contests.

For the week, he averaged 17 points with 13.5 rebounds per game, while shooting an eye-popping 88-percent from the field. He also totaled five blocks and entered this week second in all of NCAA Division II with 63 rejections.

Against Lynn on Jan. 28, he scored 18 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the field with 14 rebounds.

Three days later at Eckerd, he accounted for 16 points on 8-of-9 shooting with 13 rebounds.

He has 11 double-doubles on the season and recently notched a double-double in six straight games. Heading into the week, his double-doubles total was eighth-most in Division II.

Jackson and the Panthers oppose Tampa on Saturday at the Martinez Center.

Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. or 30 minutes after the conclusion of the 2 p.m. women’s game.
