BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – The Washington Nationals 2015 Spring Training schedule includes 31 games and begins Thursday, March 5 vs. the New York Mets at Space Coast Stadium.

As Brevard County continues to entice the Washington Nationals to stay in Brevard beyond their agreement which expires in 2017, other areas of the state are also jockeying for position to attract Major League Baseball teams to their area.

The Nat’s 2015 Spring Training ends Tuesday, April 4 with a game against the New York Yankees in Washington, DC.

Pitchers and catchers are set to arrive in Viera in on February 19 as the Nats will face the Mets, Astros and Braves five times each; and the Marlins and Cardinals four times.

During the weekend prior to the 2015 Major League Baseball Opening Day the spring schedule ends with a final exhibition game at Nationals Park vs. the Yankees on April 4. The Nationals then open their season in Miami with a series with the Marlins on April 6.
