Dead Man Found In Car At Viera Walmart

The Brevard County Sheriff's Office responded to Waterway Park, located at 600 West Merritt Island Causeway on Merritt Island on Saturday morning after a passerby located what appears to be skeletal remains.
A dead man was discovered Monday at about 1:30 p.m. in a vehicle in the Viera Walmart parking lot.

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – A dead man was discovered Monday at about 1:30 p.m. in a vehicle in the Viera Walmart parking lot.

According to Cpl. David Jacobs of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, no foul play is suspected but the medical examiner is on the case to determine the cause of death.

Cpl. Jacobs said that it is suspected that the man was living in a sports utility vehicle and died within the past 24 hours in the Walmart lot, located at 8500 N. Wickham Road in Viera.

The body was discovered by a passerby who was alerted by the smell coming from the SUV.
