BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL AIR FORCE STATION, FLORIDA – A Delta IV launch is scheduled for Wednesday, March 25 at 2:36 p.m. from Space Launch Complex 37 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. 

DELTA-180-1The GPS IIF-9 launch marks the 29th Delta IV launch and the 57th operational GPS satellite to launch on a ULA or heritage launch vehicle.

The GPS IIF series is vital to U.S. national security and it also sustains the current GPS constellations.

This provides greater accuracy for navigation, improves military signal and assists with commercial aviation and search and rescue operations.
