FIT Women’s Tennis Battles Lynn In Boca Raton

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA –  Florida Tech women’s tennis (12-6, 1-2 SSC) returns to Sunshine State Conference play on Tuesday, facing off against the Fighting Knights of Lynn (14-2, 3-2 SSC).

The Panthers have tallied 10 wins over their last 11 matches, including four straight. Each of the last four wins have come via 9-0 sweeps.

The Fighting Knights come into the match ranked No. 6 in Division II and No. 4 in the South Region. Valentine Confalonieri is slated second in the nation and is ranked as the top player in the region.

Rosie Willig is also ranked nationally, coming in at No. 26, while being ranked ninth in the South Region. Martina Gledacheva rounds out the regionally ranked players for Lynn, sliding in at No. 13.

In doubles Confalonieri and Willig join forces to make the 15th ranked team in the nation and the fourth best team in the region.
