Four Titans Share Student-Athlete of Week Honors

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Men’s basketball players Demetrius McReynolds and Kyle Meyer, women’s basketball player Rhaven Kemp and golfer Kerry Sweeney are Eastern Florida State College’s Student-Athletes of the Week.

EFSC-LOGO-125McReynolds, a sophomore guard from Louisville, Kentucky and Butler High and Meyer, a sophomore center from Johns Creek, Georgia and the University of Iowa, were named to the NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Tournament All-Tournament team.

McReynolds totaled 60 points and 10 rebounds for three games while Meyer totaled 42 points and 31 rebounds.

Eastern Florida finished as tournament runner-up.

Kemp, a sophomore guard from Jackson, Tennessee and Liberty Tech High, also was a NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Tournament All-Tournament team selection.

She scored a team-high 18 points, grabbed five rebounds and recorded an assist and a steal as Eastern Florida’s women lost in the tournament’s first round.

Sweeney, a freshman from Melbourne, Florida and Holy Trinity Episcopal High, took individual honors at the Darton Spring Invitational as Eastern Florida’s golfers won their second straight tournament of the spring season.

Sweeney shot a 54-hole total of 213.
