BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Southeastern Brevard County until 5:30 p.m.

Strong thunderstorms in the area are capable of producing wind gusts of 50 mph at least.

The southwest flow will carry in added moisture, contributing to more clouds in the afternoon along with the risk of isolated showers.

This will be the trend into the overnight hours as the next cold front grows closer and moisture deepens.

This system will be sliding across the Panhandle overnight, arriving in Central Florida early Friday morning.
